Classroom Instruction
The Burgess-Peterson Academy school counseling program provides ALL students with school counseling services through classroom instruction lessons. The goal for the 2026-27 school year is for each class to receive 6 lessons by the end of the school year. Click HERE for the ASCA Student Standards Delivery Plan for the 2026-27 school year.

Advisory Council
The American School Counselor Association defines an advisory council as a "representative group of stakeholders selected to review and advise on the implementation of the school counseling program. It is explicitly focused on the school counseling program and gives a voice to stakeholders through dialogue and critique. The council meets at least twice a year and maintains an agenda and minutes for each meeting. " --ASCA National Model: A Framework for School Counseling Programs, 4th Edition
